I will be posting youtube videos for instruction, I will assign lessons on Freckle, I will send assignments from Benchmark and I will be available by email. I am providing a variety of possibilities for you. I do not want to overwhelm you but I do want you to have what you need to keep your child learning. Everyone has a different situation and I only expect that you do your best as I am trying to do mine.
The most important thing is to be healthy and supportive of each other :)

I have put up the "Daily Schedule". This may not always look the same but this is the plan for Monday 3-30- our first day of online learning. The students are used to a daily schedule similar to this written on the whiteboard typically. It is my hope that they are able to follow the directions with little help from you. :)

You have all received your child's username& password for Grammaropolis. I believe all students are able to access my page with their clever badge where the "apps" are.
I will assign time on Freckle forScience, Social Studies,and to a lesser extent Math and Language. Grammaropolis will be assigned for grammar practice.

Benchmark Program is new for our school and hopefully will come through for us. I assigned 4 books for this week and on Friday the Unit 6 week 3 assessment. I added a picture of the books assigned on the daily schedule.
I will be sending a Google Meet
for the students for Monday-one class at 3:00 and one at 4:00. Watch for the email invitation. This is optional.

There is now a More Tab: Under More is a tab for Assignments: How did you do?
This tab has "example" answers for you or your child to use as a reference.

Enrichment Tab- Added PDF-downloads to go with the Weather Unit-under the heading science. There are vocabulary cards, word search, photos-some fun things you or your child can click on for more to do.

Also added today to the Resources tab(hover on media tab)- PBS tv times for Educational shows ....a good option if your internet is spotty or your child is sharing a device.

I think it's important to follow the daily schedule so your child does not fall behind or get too ahead. The daily schedule will be posted in the afternoon the day before.

Please be patient with the platforms-Benchmark seems to freeze or not hold sent assignments-I'm having to re-send scheduled sends, be patient with yourselves-if your child doesn't do an "assignment" don't worry-do what you can to support them. Please be patient with me-I am not at all skilled at teaching remotely and I am doing my best.
Some people are overwhelmed and others are underwhelmed.
For those who want more: IReady is a great option and Freckle has a library-especially helpful because BM is unreliable.
